Hello everyone,

for some of you the solution is probably obvious, so we would appreciate your help.

We have started with the civil engineering work and as it often happens, we immediately damaged the neighbor's sewer pipe (which runs through our property). We have already temporarily bridged it, but now need a reliable and permanent seal until next week.

Since I practically have little experience in this area but want to handle the matter myself, I ask for your opinion on whether our planned approach will work or would appreciate practical help and manufacturer recommendations.

The old pipe is an Eternit pipe (outer diameter approx. 17.5 cm) and the "crack" is 7 meters long. The sewer pipe will later lie under our garage (the garage stands on strip foundations).

My plan:
Attach hose adapters from Crassus on the left and right + KG pipe to bridge.

What do I need to consider? Which KG pipe is suitable for the bridging and in what "lengths"? Can you recommend manufacturers for the hose adapters?

I am grateful for any help on how to create a secure solution. Best regards!

And what does the neighbor say about your plans? The obvious solution is a professional company!! After all, it is not your own pipe, but the neighbor's.

Thank you for your response. Our neighbor agrees with this. We have already spoken with a specialist company (Sanitär-Unternehmen) and they advised us exactly on this. Therefore, we now ask for constructive answers.

When this is the recommended procedure, then go ahead. I think the difficulty is maintaining the correct slope and ensuring that it stays that way when it is closed again. And still, I would always have it done.

Precisely because it concerns the neighbor's pipe, it must be done by a company. You can botch it like that for yourself, but never for others. Because by doing so, you assume the "guarantee." If something is wrong and the shit backs up, you have to open everything again, because the error will then come from that spot you repaired 99 percent of the time.... So hands off.

Hello Listhom

your plan is realistic.
Is the OD actually 175?
Two 4-meter KG pipes. Since you are attaching a sliding socket (Crassus hose adapter) on each side, you have to cut off one socket from the KG pipe. Do this to the exact length (the closer you get to the old pipe, the less space for dirt). You have a few mm to play with. Now lay the KG pipe cleanly on the slope and the damage is repaired.
Use some dish soap as lubrication when pushing the KG pipes together.
But, what is your neighbor’s wastewater pipe doing on your property? It doesn’t belong there.
Further: what passes over there? Or will the garage be built exactly on top of the wastewater pipe?
