Hello I want to buy an open Pax with 3m as a walk-in closet. Since I am missing about 3cm of room height, I thought about having the side panels shortened (by a carpenter) and placing the cabinets directly on the floor without a plinth. Does anyone have an opinion on this? I would be very happy about tips. Regards Pompi

If a carpenter does it, there is no objection. It is important that the stability, which was initially provided by the base, is rebuilt in another place. For example, on the bottom plate inside the cabinet. But wouldn't it be easier to shorten the side panels and provide new holes for the base? So that only the side panels and the back panel are simply shortened. This should be the easiest and safest option.
