Hello,
I plan to add an extra floor to a small outbuilding. It is a building about 13 meters long and about 3-3.5 meters wide. It already has a flat roof, so the beams rest at the front and at the back a wall about 80 cm high has been built up, creating a small attic.
I want to raise this attic over a length of about 4 meters, as a bedroom. I don’t yet know how high, I’m thinking about 1m: Now my question: Can I do something like this myself? I mean, can you raise a roof like this with a bit of DIY skill and also build up such walls?
And which material is best to use? I mean the type of bricks.
I would appreciate tips.
Thank you very much!
Best regards
Bob
