I have a small question, does anyone know anything about such systems, or has anyone already gained experience with them? I've been considering getting a digital key system with Bluetooth for some time now, a friend of mine already has one and is very satisfied with it (from the company Sorex as far as I know). Now my question is, what is meant by 128-bit encryption? And how secure are such systems? Please respond..., thank you! Best regards, Beni

:confused: Are you talking about a qualified digital signature?

128bit is long outdated, I currently encrypt
my security-relevant servers with 2048bit.

Best regards

@parcus,

no no I meant digital cylinder locks for the house with a so-called Wireless Key System, it should work via Bluetooth, and from what I have read on the internet, this system is quite secure with this encryption.

Are you familiar with this topic as well?

I also hope to receive other answers or opinions to gather some experience.

thanks...

At low encryption, the length of the pin is important. So in any case longer than 4 alphanumeric or 8 numeric characters.
It is best to read the article in the wiki:

Topic eavesdropping security.
The version is also important, secure pairing should only be possible with the current v2.1. (v3.0 is still under development)
But I would ask something like that in a computer science forum.

Thank you for the response...

I think I am in the wrong place in a computer science forum, but I'll try the link anyway, thanks again!

With such systems, always make sure that a motor lock is also installed on the door, otherwise the insurance coverage is lost, I just learned that too!!!
