Sealing the prefab garage roof

Good day everyone.

I own a new prefabricated garage. During the installation of the electric garage door opener, I unfortunately drilled a hole a bit too deep and thus minimally damaged the roof membrane. Of course, water drips through there despite a screw in the hole. Can I simply "weld" a large piece of roofing felt over it, or what is the best way to close this hole?

With boat builder’s putty. MS polymer from cartridge. Pantera, Saba Tack, Tika, Ramsauer would be brand names. The cheapest one is sufficient. It is not required to be seawater-resistant underwater.
