Hello,

I once heard there is a way to paint clinker bricks with a non-visible color so that they are sealed. This is supposed to prevent the joints from crumbling over time and the bricks from getting ugly efflorescence and discoloration.

Does anyone have experience with this? What can be done?

Hi construction worker,

Mantafan is right. With 50% Firnes and 50% turpentine you can impregnate your clinker bricks. I have also impregnated them myself and have to say that they still look very nice today. I impregnate my clinker bricks once a year and they stay clean and beautiful.
