Hello,

I have a possibly silly question.

Due to furniture being moved and children playing, I have noticed that the sealant on the parquet is "cracked."

Is that bad or would you close it? Is there a repair kit for that?

Or leave it as is, it just looks a bit ugly

That needs to be closed. But it's not quite easy. The torn area will be sanded more extensively to even out the edges. Then sprayed with spray paint. Then the mist will be wet sanded with 1000 grit. It's a job for a painter. It works. It's certainly only about 30 minutes of work. But you need to know how. Do you know a car painter? Karsten

Nah... does it have to be done by a car painter?

Which spray paint do you recommend?

Doesn't have to be done by a car painter. But: someone like that can surely do it. A normal skilled painter journeyman probably knows how as well. Spray paint brand: no idea what is compatible. Probably something acrylic-based. Karsten

No offense, but maybe it would be better to have a floor layer handle that instead of a car painter/decorator. After all, repairing floors is part of their daily routine.

In Hesse, no parquet floor installer comes for 2 scratches....
