Hello everyone,

this is about the Vindig extractor hood

We can't get through one assembly step.

It is step 23 on page 30 of the assembly instructions.

See photo and excerpt of the instructions below.

According to the instructions, screw E is to be screwed into the second opening (counted from the wall) of part B.

However, this opening does not align with the opening of part A, as can be seen in the photo.

When both parts are pushed against the wall, the second opening of part B has a much larger distance from the wall than the opening of part A.
Both parts are mounted pushed against the wall, and since the distances of the openings are different, they do not fit together.

The instructions show that this screw should hold the two parts together.
Otherwise, screw E will not catch in the opening of part B; if it is not screwed tightly into the opening of part A, it will fall out.

Thank you in advance,

Best regards, Leonid

I also cannot imagine how this is supposed to fit. I would first hold the pipe and the cover in place to see if everything fits when the air duct is against the wall and the slots correspond to the wall bracket. If that were correct, I would file two slots before bothering with customer service. If you have concerns about the warranty, then ask (Whirlpool?) customer service if no one here knows the solution.

Hi Leonid, I know it might be a silly question, but can part b also be turned around? I mean the whole box once by 180 degrees, so that the "zapfen" points backwards. In the instructions, it looks like part b has a recess that fits exactly onto the mount. Regards Mr. Rossi

Hello,

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, the recess does not fit the bracket even remotely. It is also clearly visible in the instructions that the pin is supposed to point forward.

Best regards,
Leonid
