we are complete beginners when it comes to satellite dishes and just want to absorb as much knowledge as possible. From manufacturers to tips on installation!

So from my own experience (of course depending on the desired budget) I can recommend Katrein.

Otherwise, the topic is quite extensive. Therefore, writing everything about it is very comprehensive.

A tip for installation that is often forgotten .... if possible do not install it in a way that allows a tree to grow in front of it.
Sounds silly, but I have seen it in rare cases (2 or 3 out of about 400 installed systems).
The people absolutely wanted the system at that spot and not on the roof. After a few years, we had to relocate it because the tree underneath had grown a bit. ;-)
