Hi everyone,

I have a descaling system from Grünbeck.

I have a paddling pool that I salted and still have half a bag of pool salt left. The paddling pool is basically not used.
Before I throw away the pool salt, do you think I can use it for the regeneration of the Grünbeck?

Chemically it's the same, isn't it?

That depends on exactly which salt it is. Some manufacturers use anti-caking agents or other additives that do not naturally occur in drinking water. I would rather not put these into the water softener. Half a bag of pool salt might be worth around €7.50?! Don’t think about it too long. Tap it loosely and use it to keep the street ice-free this coming winter.

Is forbidden in Berlin. Maybe I'll water some weeds with it...

That's true, every municipality regulates that as they please. At least it would be feasible here. Let me know if it works against ivy, then I'll also repurpose my boiling salt.
