We were out and about over the weekend and already looked at interior doors. For the first time, I noticed that there are interior doors without a keyhole: [Magnetfallenschloss].

What is the general experience here in the forum?
Are they worth the additional cost per door?
Or are they more prone to repairs?

Is the door lock really as easy to operate permanently in practice as promised?

Is this door lock variant called something else? Or is it really installed so rarely that no one here has any experience with it?

Yes! Definitely. I have been using them for many years now. The extra cost is manageable, but the look is worth it.
And you simply close the door without using the handle for it. It only makes a quiet click.
Not prone to repairs. I am currently installing them in my third property.

Fits perfectly with unrebated doors.

But it has nothing to do with whether with or without a keyhole. Magnetic traps are great. We have them on all interior doors.

Help me out, where is the advantage? I don't have to operate the door handle when closing the door?

Hello, you no longer have a partially visible shooting plate and the latch does not need to be operated either because no closer can engage anymore
