Hello,
my building savings contract recently pointed out to me that I should insist on a version of the roof structure without wood preservatives when dealing with the general contractor. I had never thought about this until he said that opinions are currently divided but he prefers the construction method without them. I have understood that the wood is usually simply better suited structurally and more closed.
So now I have included the execution of the roof structure according to DIN 68800 without wood preservatives in the execution planning. But now I have read again that moisture from the construction phase alone causes unprotected wood to mold.
Now I don’t know what to do anymore. I also haven’t found anything on the internet. Does anyone have a tip?
