Hello,

we have a roof terrace with slabs on pedestals. How often should the slabs be removed and the substrate cleaned, or at what intervals do you do this?
Annually?

Thank you

Why do you want to clean the non-visible area under the tiles at all? I don't have such a construction, but I wouldn't know why I should touch that area.

There can be no talk of wanting to do it But my understanding was that one should do this because dirt or other debris could quite possibly accumulate there...

So? Does the dirt that you don't see bother you? Example: Do you dismantle your 3m long wardrobe in the bedroom every year because dirt could collect behind it? It's no different with the panels. If weeds grow meters high from the joints, you could eliminate the cause (or simply use RoundUp or something similar) but removing "dirt" is not necessary.

I am sure that there are guidelines from the system manufacturers here ... Especially water should be able to drain freely.

In practice, however, I also see no reason to do anything here, as long as there is no problem.
