Roof overhang clad, 1 cm rafter visible?

Hello everyone,

we have finally finished our shed roof and have decided on a clad roof overhang! The material is aluminum sheet and we have an unplastered brick facade....

Now I noticed yesterday that all the rafters are clad but about 1 cm is still visible... The roofer says you won't see it anymore once the plaster is applied?!?!
What is your opinion?
Why wasn't the box installed directly up to under the rafters?
