Hello everyone,

we are currently putting together a prefabricated garage with a storage room. A roof edge profile with a drip edge is selectable in the offer. However, I wonder how useful this profile is. The roof is built like a tray with a slope towards the back. So when should rainwater overflow? During heavy rain? And won’t the wall get wet anyway when it rains :)? What are your experiences? It costs almost 1000,- after all...

Best regards Tu Hus

The precast concrete garages usually have a small "attika". The rain that falls on it runs down the front. Often looks completely rotten after just 1-2 years.

An attika cover with a drip edge helps with that.

Morning dew then also drips nicely there and does not run down the wall.

We are currently also considering whether with or without sheet metal. Does the garage look more "rotten" without sheet metal after years?

Since we are already on the topic of attika, which material do you prefer? Zinc sheet or aluminum? The color will definitely be anthracite.
