Roof cost, window cost including installation

Hello dear forum,

first of all, I would like to thank you for some valuable contributions here in the forum. I am still at the very beginning of my planning. It will be a bungalow with about 160m2 of living space.

Now I am wondering about approximate costs, on the one hand for the roof and on the other hand for windows, balcony doors... including installation.

1. Roof For the house I favor, I want a hip roof. What costs should I expect for the roof? A rough estimate is enough for me. By roof I mean the roof structure, insulation, and tiles, possibly 2-3 windows. Is 30T€ realistic? 2. Windows/Doors How much money should I calculate for the installation including material for windows, balcony doors, front doors? Of course, I know that the answer depends on size, quantity, double or triple glazing... Here too, I only want a rough estimate. Assuming a standard bungalow without special requirements. Is 20T€ including installation realistic?

Last but not least, I am also interested: What costs me more? a. 2m2 of windows including installation or b. 2m2 of facade with insulation and cladding

Are the costs comparable?

With the roof, plumbing work is also included, which people tend to forget. I don’t really know much about it. But I’m currently getting a new roof including insulation. I think €30,000 probably won’t quite be enough for you. Windows and doors are hardly possible to estimate without any information about quantity, etc. I also tried to calculate prices online for my renovation/modernization to get a rough estimate. Now that I have more detailed cost breakdowns for myself, I can say that basically no internet price that initially sounded similar was reasonably comparable. You would have to know more precisely what you want, rather accurately, and then either accidentally find a similar project online or ask here again. Then you might as well go to the craftsmen and have a rough first cost estimate made. That will probably only vary by a few thousand euros.

1: 30k seems roughly too little to me when I look at what I have paid.

2: Don’t worry about glass (in plastic) - it is too cheap to base decisions on the costs. 20k would have been enough for us for a simple version.

I also believe that the costs for the roof are too low. For 160m² of living space, you will probably need at least 180m² of floor area. With a simple rectangular shape and a half-meter roof overhang, that results in over 200m² of roof area plus the corresponding sheet metal work. Also not to be forgotten is that the water must be drained away from the ground.

Just for the windows, the 20,000€ can be sufficient depending on quantity and size. However, you still don't have window sills and roller shutters. And just for a front door with a side window, you can easily spend between 3,000 and 7,000€.

What do you think about a flat roof?
Can anyone tell me something about the costs of [Facade] vs. [Window]? Are the prices roughly comparable?

Maybe I misunderstand you. But usually, windows are installed in a house to have light inside and to implement an architectural idea, not to save money.
