Hello everyone,

we installed a single-family house and unfortunately we were not optimally advised in many places. In the house we have 3 bar. After various tests, we found out that this is not due to the pressure reducer; in our area, simply no more than 3 bar reach there. The city then recommended installing a pressure boosting system. Has anyone of you ever done this and can say something about the costs and the scope?
In addition, we sometimes have to wait quite a long time for hot water at various points (up to 10 seconds). Due to the water pressure, I hope to be able to shorten the waiting time a bit. Is there another alternative to get hot water faster?

Circulation, which is very complex to retrofit.

Water pressure? We have set ours to only two bars and are satisfied. We could set it higher, but that is not necessary at all.

so it's about the gas pressure? (town gas? was not mentioned)

3 bar is not bad. For example, propane systems operate with only 0.03 bar operating pressure.

It would be decisive whether the pressure changes significantly depending on load and/or time of day. Then a pressure regulator (downwards) could help if larger nozzles are used in the burner.

Was the problem present from the beginning or only after longer operation?

... phew, at least here you unintentionally did everything right. Waiting 10 seconds means you don’t have a circulation system installed and thus you’re not wasting unnecessary energy by letting increasingly cooler water circulate pointlessly.

And, hey, 10 seconds won’t kill anyone - right? ;)

P.S. The right answer would be "fresh water station," but that won’t make you any happier either.
