Hello everyone, I am new here and hope you can help me. We currently have a problem with the living-dining room and the kitchen. These should be properly combined. It should become nice, cozy, and modern. At the moment, unfortunately, this is not the case. Do you possibly have tips on what could be done and how? I don’t know if one is allowed to post pictures and floor plans here? Are there possibly architects / interior architects who can give us some inspiration? We have been thinking for a long time about what and how to do it and are slowly losing motivation!? It is our own house and we are open to all kinds of renovations (it should just not exceed our budget) ;-). We thank you.

Without a functioning crystal ball, your request cannot be answered :)

I assume you want to tear down a wall, so it needs to be clarified whether it can be torn down? If not, can something be done with retrofitted steel beams? But then it will immediately be expensive.

How about just some photos?????
However, we cannot replace a structural engineer here :)

Hello everyone, I was able to scan the floor plan today. As you can see, you currently enter the living area and immediately stand at the dining room table. This should all be better designed with an open kitchen. We also thought about creating a second door (passage) to the living room and then placing the dining room there. But then the front area is all empty. !??

Hehe... can it be bigger? Where is the kitchen? By the living room, that seems to be a load-bearing wall, at least it appears to be drawn thicker than the others... otherwise, I can't see much :(

I would tear down the wall, if it is not load-bearing. The one where the dining table is. This wall that looks like a cross. Or is there a [Kachelofen]?
