We are currently in the process of buying an old house and everyone tells us different things about the windows: They are 2-pane glazed wooden windows 23 years old. They have never been maintained or painted. Actually, such windows usually have a longer lifespan than just over 20 years, so we are wondering whether they need to be replaced or if painting and refurbishing is enough?! Oh yes: We do not plan any additional insulation of the facade.
