Hello,

we want to buy two 2m-Pax and place them directly next to each other.
The whole thing should look symmetrical now. Normally, the left sliding door slides over the right one.
For one of the two wardrobes, we would like it the other way around, the right should slide over the left, precisely for the sake of symmetry.

At our Ikea store, they couldn't help us; they just said that it probably doesn’t work.
Why? It just says so in the manual that the left must always slide over the right.
Is there a plausible technical reason that currently really prevents this?
What needs to be done so that it might work after all?

Regards,
Felix

Evening,

I am also currently setting up such a combination, but "individually 2 x 100 cm" and just so that the "thick end" is not standing in the middle of the room - it works quite well. You just have to think a bit.

What does not work directly is the soft closer reversed, as I just painfully (of course only after almost complete assembly - advance planning and so on ...) found out. Hopefully doable with some tinkering. Details here

Regards,
Cedric

Edit: I have an AULI / UGGDAL combination. No idea if other door types differ in setup so much that it really doesn’t work (without further modifications).
