Hello friends,
as can be seen in the attached pictures, the paving of the terrace is no longer in the best condition. Now I am supposed to re-grout it and reattach the loose slabs. In my opinion, the problem would not be solved by this but only postponed. The paving and the wall are damp, so I want to tackle this first. Since I don't have much experience with building or renovating yet, I ask you to share your opinions and possibly give me advice.
My idea to get the situation under control would be to dig about half a meter deep along the paving and fill the trench with coarse gravel. However, I still need something that separates the soil from the paving? I thought of a sheet of metal or what would you recommend for this?
Thank you in advance!
Your Tim
