Good day, today a roofer journeyman friend was with us because we actually want to have the flying rafters and purlin heads clad.

We bought the house last year in August.

So now my question is, what can still be saved here?

2. What does a replacement of rafters and purlin head renovation cost?

We are grateful for any help

I think the rafters and purlins are doing well. There are specialist dealers for paints where the professionals also buy. Get some advice there, sanding is clear. And then prime and paint. There are the special "Schwedenhaus" paints, I don't remember exactly what they were called. But the Swedes are known for harsh climates and colorful wooden houses.

Yes, he was not sure, as the rafter really does seem to be a bit rotten. Does anyone have an idea of the cost to replace something like that?

No one has an idea, I just need a price estimate.

Scaffolding
Replace rafters
Renovate purlin heads
Disappear

Joker. In-in-up-down-out (I think that's what it was called at a pit stop). "Replace roof rafters" is not just a tire change, the roofing has to come off for that. Why do the whole thing anyway? - to me they just look weathered visually, so what are you afraid of?
