Hello everyone!

Our house is a detached house from 1999, fully faced with brick. After 18 years, the silicone joint around the plastic windows is becoming porous and certainly also leaking - so I want to replace it.

At first, I thought directly of a company that does this. In the meantime, however, I have also replaced various joints inside myself, which worked very well with "Fugis". I must say that I am by no means a craftsman.

Unfortunately, such sealing companies charge high prices when all windows + terrace elements are replaced. And now I am wondering if I could do it myself. However, the Fugis probably only work well if there is a smooth surface (e.g. inside between the windowsill and the window frame). Outside, with a rough brick, I imagine that is more difficult...

What do you recommend for this or how do professional companies do it?

Thank you very much in advance!

Once Sille, always Sille. Nothing else sticks. Don’t use PU, even though it is more durable. Grout, keep a small bowl with Pril water ready, not too thin in the mixture. Smooth with a wet finger, done. Karsten
