Hello everyone. We had to redo the drain in our shower. For this, we removed the tiles on the floor. To get the sealing perfect again, we also removed the lower wall tiles. The tile grout remains on both the floor and the wall. So it is as follows: visible wall, grout, tile. How can I best remove the grout without damaging the tiles? Are there any tips and tricks? A tiler told me it is best to work with wood or plastic and carefully scrape/knock off the grout. However, he does not do it himself because he is afraid of damaging the other tiles.

This really takes off, just dare. Small hammer and sharp screwdriver. I replaced a tile after we had water damage in the basement.

The glue was worse.

As long as no concrete was used as joint material, it comes off relatively easily. The tiler simply does not want to do even more work because he would then fall into the warranty trap. So do it yourself.

Okay, I'll tackle it later. I'll try to go at it gently first and otherwise I'll use the hammer and screwdriver. I would only kick myself if more things get broken. removing the glue is really a complete nightmare.
