Hello everyone,

I would like to get a video intercom system, but I am not sure what options I have if I want to keep my RITTO basic power supply unit. Attached are photos of the existing hardware
- RITTO power supply unit 6573/04
- Door intercom module 5760.02

The goal is a video intercom system with LAN/WiFi connectivity that can be operated via the phone.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards

I am not an expert, but in my opinion your system is only designed for audio. The video intercom outside (and possibly inside) probably needs to be new. The wiring is probably much more interesting than the power supply unit. Whether the power supply unit fits then would have to be checked. As a DIY solution, an IP camera might also be an option, which you then control via mobile phone. However, to what extent audio and video can be linked, I have no idea.

I have a "Doorbird". Comes with an app and can be connected to the LAN. As a result, not only the mobile phone rings but also, for example, a Fritz phone (FritzFon) which also displays the live image on the FritzFon for 15 seconds.
You can control relays via the app to open the door. However, I have refrained from doing so - in case I'm not at home and accidentally open the door.
