Hello everyone,
I received official confirmation today that I must/may (depending on the case) infiltrate my rainwater on my property.
Now, after initial research, the topic is quite diverse. What are your experiences & recommendations regarding:
- Size and type of sealed surfaces (driveway, terrace)
- Systems for infiltration (shallow, basin, or trench infiltration)
- Collection systems for storing water for garden irrigation, etc. (costs)
- Reuse for toilet flushing, etc. (cost/benefit)

Thank you

What does the soil survey say (regarding infiltration)? Depending on that, a "perforated pipe" may be sufficient or a large soakaway or something similar will be required. Infiltration basins may possibly fit well into the garden concept, it depends.

IMHO, using rainwater inside the house is not worth it. However, this reflects my personal opinion; it may be different in your case.

I would aim to use it in the garden and plan accordingly for a suitable cistern. See also .
