Hello,

in general, these are high-gloss fronts. Normal fingerprints are hardly or not at all visible. Definitely noticeable are obvious greasy fingerprints. It also depends on the lighting conditions in your kitchen. The more light, the more you have to clean. Or, the brighter the kitchen, the lighter you should choose the fronts. Especially the white front with a real oak countertop looks super elegant, with a few nice handles added. Perfect. But that is also a matter of taste.

One important thing. NEVER use any chemicals on the fronts. There are also great care products and polishing cloths, etc. KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF! Just wipe with a damp, soft kitchen towel. At most, put some diluted glass cleaner or dish soap on the cloth and gently rub. Do not use the regular cloth or sponge from the sink, and also not kitchen paper, as there are always fine particles in between that cause scratches. Sounds complicated at first but is basically really simple. In the long run, this is the only way you will enjoy your high-gloss front.

NfU and have fun with the kitchen

Hello Nayla,

thank you for your response, that already sounds very good.

What is meant by a "soft cloth"? A normal cotton dish towel? Yesterday I found microfiber cloths at Ikea (4-pack, 3 different application areas) – could I use those as well?

Best regards
Patricia

Hi,

exactly one cotton dish towel. They are nice and soft. It's best to set one aside that is only used for cleaning the fronts. On the other hand, microfiber cloths should not be used. Strangely, they apparently scratch as well. I have heard from customers that they can leave "blind spots" on the fronts.

My recommendation:

Polishing cloths from the auto accessories store. And speaking of "auto accessories": For surfaces that are already somewhat worn, car polish is helpful (but I wouldn't use it on brand new surfaces).
