Question to those who have already built: Both plasterers offer to produce walls and ceilings in Q2 and then Q3. Now, in the first painter's quote: priming + wallpapering with [Vlies]; then painting white. The second painter: "Only" painting white. Is that really possible without [Vlies]? Are there paints that can handle that? Has anyone done it that way? Thanks for experiences and tips!

Of course it works without fleece. Why not? It just won't be quite as smooth. What do plasterers do? Karsten

You can also paint stones without plaster. The paint handles that well :)

But since you're asking and it's not familiar to you, I doubt you will like it, so I would recommend fleece, as that gives you a smooth wall and not just an almost smooth one.

Best regards, Yvonne

For the fleece recommenders. Is Q3 still advisable or is Q2 sufficient then? I always think the fleece is not very thick and will hardly be able to conceal anything.

So for textured wallpaper Q2 is sufficient, but for fleece wallpaper or direct painting and to be satisfied, you need Q3 or Q4.

You get what you pay for. Q2 would be sufficiently smooth for me. In the utility room, for example, Q1 would also be enough for me.
