Hello everyone!

The house construction is finally over and we are currently setting up our apartment, after the last joint has been plastered and the last wallpaper along with paint is in place. We are looking for beautiful paintings for our new home so that it becomes really cozy, of course :) We have already looked around a bit online and found Zimmermann & Heitmann, who match our taste quite well.
However, we have no idea about art and its value.
Can someone give me some tips on the price ratio here? Are the prices of this provider reasonable?
We are complete laymen when it comes to this topic and naturally don’t want to waste more money than necessary.
We appreciate every tip!

Best regards

For art, you spend what it seems worth to you or what it is worth to you personally.

I wouldn't spend a single euro on Rembrandt's golden helmet ;)

off Topic: I wonder if I did something wrong in building the house, since I couldn't afford a pond installation or a painting from a gallery...

Or is this supposed to be hidden advertising?

First of all: I have no idea about art. We looked through our holiday pictures and had one beautifully printed large (160x100) on canvas. A second one is currently in planning. I think it gives you a personal connection, the price is manageable, and if you no longer like it, the loss is limited. Of course, this is not an alternative for those for whom art is an investment.

It stops for me at art. When I imagine that a few blobs of paint with a material value of a few euros are traded at exorbitant prices!
Then rather a photo (see Musketier) or a nice family wall with pictures from the photographer or art prints instead of originals.
Just go into the store (in large furniture stores you can also find pictures/prints) and see what YOU like. If you also like the price, then everything fits.
It can be the "cheap print" from Ikea or the Rembrandt - Your decision.

Well, we probably set the priorities differently! The other options are also in planning, we have also decided to choose only one to hang over the bed or in the living room. A proper picture is needed here, that is an understanding I took from my parents! :)

Best regards

P.S. we still couldn’t decide on one.. :(
