Hello,
we are facing the following problem. We are building a house with a basement where 30cm of height for a slope for drainage are missing.
Our construction company has now planned a pump + pumping sump in the basement for this, with additional costs of 3000€.
Now I am not sure whether a small lifting unit for 1000€ would also be sufficient for the drainage of the basement (1 sink + 1 shower, washing machine and NO toilet). Our neighbors at least solved it that way. Drainage on the ground floor and first floor goes directly into the sewer, and for the rest a small lifting unit.
Can you give me independent advice? I somehow have the feeling that either the solution is oversized or that now the drainage of the entire house runs over the pumping sump.
What should also be mentioned is that we have a cistern with a domestic water station for utility water. But that should actually not matter for this.
Thanks,
