Hello,

We had cork parquet installed upstairs and in the study. Cork is generally a softer surface. Now I would like to know if it makes sense to put something under the office chair, or if the cork will be damaged in the long run by rolling back and forth?

yes he will ... we also have KlickKork in our office room. It is relatively resistant, but with constant use you will definitely get marks eventually. Buy a plastic mat like that at Ikea for 25 €. We have been using it for years, it also helped with the softwood parquet.

Yes, that's true, the plastic mats are great. We even laid them under our sideboard and our dresser. Simply to protect the floor in the long run.

With this mat, you can't go wrong, but it is aesthetically unappealing. As an alternative, you can also use connected bamboo rugs.

I have had different experiences. We have had cork parquet in the office for over 5 years and even without a mat there are no marks from the wheels.
