Hello everyone,

A few months ago we bought a suite and now it is time to clean it or possibly have it cleaned. Does anyone know which products can be used to clean the leather? Or is it better to have it professionally cleaned? How often should a suite or similar ideally be cleaned?

Thanks in advance for your tips

Best regards

Uh, how do you treat the set that you have to have it cleaned after just a few months? I would have thought of at least three to five years for leather. A damp cloth should be enough. I once had a leather set made of blue (brushed) leather. The first cleaning after 5 to 7 years. What exactly is your material and what does the care instruction say? There are special cleaning and care products from specialty stores.

Set,... ok... upholstered furniture?
Anyway: smooth or velour leather? Faux leather? What color?
I was also initially surprised like , because we have two white faux leather chairs for 3 years that I have wiped only once,
But once had a natural-colored leather sofa from Schillig, where you could clearly see from the jeans color that it was used.
Basically, soapy water and a gentle sponge should remove everything. Expensive products can't do more. However, leather should be creamed afterwards to keep it supple.

Colourlock or Petzolds. But after a few months, that should not be necessary yet.
