Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding French balconies. In our new building, they have just been installed. I had assumed that they would be anchored in the facade, but they have now been screwed to the window frames. Is this proper practice (the beautiful new windows)?

Thank you very much for your advice!

Show me a photo! Spontaneously, I would say this is not professional, but I cannot justify this with a standard or similar, just a gut feeling.

Depends. There are models that are mounted in the reveals, but there are also ones that are screwed into the frame. With [WDVS] that is probably the easiest solution. What did you order?

You already asked this yesterday in an older thread . No, it is not the royal road / ultimate wisdom - but: 1. it is better than in the insulation layer and 2. it is not a window fitter’s job to do it elsewhere. Whoever left this work to the window fitter also messed up by choosing this not so nice way.
