Hey,

I am wallpapering for the first time. I have just moved out of my parents' house and now want to decorate the apartment to my taste. However, I am already failing at wallpapering. The purchased [Raufasertapeten] just won't stick and keep falling down! I am completely at the END and ANNOYED!
I am grateful for any kind of help

best regards

The problem is already known to me... Most of the time it is due to the very dry wall or you still have wallpaper/wallpaper remnants underneath. Or you are wallpapering directly on the drywall panels. So it is best to "moisten" the wall with paste first and not just apply something on the wallpapers.

It is also always important to have good equipment. At the hardware store, you can usually rent professional "wallpapering devices". To get the optimal and even amount of paste on the wallpaper, these roller wallpapering devices that the professional also uses are very helpful. It is best to ask at the hardware store, as unfortunately I do not know what the device is called.

also pay attention to what kind of paste you use. for example, there is a special one for Raufasertapeten, which is unfortunately a bit more expensive than the regular one, but it makes the wallpaper stick better.

so it should not be a problem, even for someone doing it for the first time. you just need to make sure to remove the old wallpaper if you haven't done that yet

Don't worry! I scraped off the old wallpaper first. That was such hard work, and unfortunately, someone only told me to properly wet the wallpaper with soapy water when I was almost finished... can happen
