Hello!

We are currently painting the inside of our newly built house. We have lime-cement plaster on the walls and the ceilings are made of precast concrete. Now to my problem: We painted everything with silicate paint. After the paint dried, however, we had to notice that the roller marks are visible. Even a second and third coat did not change the problem.

Did we make a mistake in choosing the roller or the paint? Are there certain things to pay attention to when painting with silicate paints? Can silicate paints be painted over with dispersion paints?

Thank you very much for your advice

There are several possibilities. Wrong roller, silicate paint applied too thickly, wrong rolling technique, too absorbent, unprimed substrate, etc. Painting is simply a learning profession!!

Hello, since silicate paints also contain a part of dispersion paints, there should be no problems. However, from a distance, it is difficult to say what you did wrong with the painting.
