We moved into our house (new construction) at the beginning of the year and have had multiple problems with the backflow valves. Apparently, the entire sewer system quickly reaches its limits, at least during heavy rain there is not much flow. When the valves close, gurgling and bubbling can be heard throughout the house. The toilets and sinks make noises and spread a foul odor. When the valves are closed, the water in the entire house no longer drains; backflow occurs immediately. This is not normal, is it? Where could the problem lie?

The backwater level seems to be relatively high in your residential area/on your property. From Germany, I know the problem, but it is almost always addressed by public regulations regarding the planning and execution of sanitary installations in the house. Technically, this is not really my area of expertise, so unfortunately I cannot advise. Have you already consulted a plumber, or a specialist from the municipal utilities (or whatever the public supplier is called)?
