Hello! We would prefer to heat our new home using geothermal energy, but have now heard from two acquaintances that their yield decreases from year to year. After just 7 years, they are already considering drilling anew elsewhere because the old location no longer provides what it should. Is that normal? With the high investment costs, I want a system that delivers its performance in the long term.

Hello

that is because the EWS was not properly designed a few years ago.

The company GETEMA in Geroldswil gave me professional advice.
He had extensive experience with ground probes. And was able to explain everything to me in detail.
He himself said that not everyone is still at the same level when it comes to ground probes.

Regards Attika

I can only confirm that, there is still a great need to catch up here. But I think the consultations and information will be better in the future.

I have read that too and after such a short time, drilling had to be done again. Actually, the effort is much too great. Well, maybe there will be better conditions in the future.

Already after 7 years have it re-drilled, that is too much effort. Time passes quickly anyway. I have heard that something like this can be tested beforehand. The number of drillings also varies. Whether it is economical in the end, I dare to doubt.

Hi,

I have also read about the test. But 7 years, that is a good amount of time. Nothing lasts forever.

Best regards
