Hello everyone,

I bought the TV Bank Stockholm and have successfully assembled it so far. One thing is not quite clear to me: What are the three small cylinders (No. 122395) for, which are attached to the side walls on pages 23 and 24? These creatures here:

The cylinder first locks into a deep position when pressed in and returns to its end position when pressed again... so far, so good. But what is the purpose of all this? In the instructions, it looks to me as if the flaps have a push-to-open mechanism (page 24 top), but the groove in which the flaps run does not allow that at all. Or are they supposed to just dampen the closing process of the flaps a bit? They actually do that, as they lock in a defined way, but then they no longer close flush with the rest of the bench. Here is a comparison with (left) and without (right) the cylinder mounted:

So somehow it seems to work better without these parts, which can’t be the point. Am I thinking about this wrong, or did I assemble something incorrectly? Even rotating the cylinder to adjust its position (page 24 middle) doesn’t improve anything...

Thanks in advance for your answers!

Hello, as you already wrote, the thing is for opening so that you can also grip the flap. Have you already screwed the cylinder in all the way? Which slot is in the flap? None is shown in the instructions. It does not look like an assembly error. In the pictures, it looks like the flaps are sitting crooked, but that is probably just the perspective, right?

Hello and thank you for the quick response, mine unfortunately took a bit longer ;)
By groove I mean the following part of the side panels:

As can be seen, the lower part of the flaps cannot be pressed properly into the carcass, at least not the way it looks in the instructions. With some cylinder adjustment work, I managed on one of the three flaps to have it pop open with a firm press. So I think I understood the principle... I believe. But it just doesn’t work reproducibly. Sometimes the flap doesn’t open at all, even though I hear the cylinder click, so it should automatically return to the end position - probably wedged somewhere. Another time the flap pops open by itself without me touching anything at all. Well, I will dismantle the cylinders again. It would have been nice to have an elegant opening mechanism, but I won’t use the flaps that often anyway. The flush finish, which I can only achieve without the little cylinders, is more important to me.

If the pressure opener does not function properly, I would file a complaint.
