Hello everyone,

I have been silently reading here for years, now I have to ask a question and hope for the collective knowledge here.
We will be moving soon into a new apartment (rental) and there will finally be a proper Ethernet wiring present. However, I have a problem with the power supply in the multimedia distribution cabinet there.
Installed is a cabinet from f-tronic with a socket element with three Euro sockets, see photo. However, I will have to plug in at least one Schuko plug for the switch, depending on which modem comes maybe also two Schuko plugs. (To prevent questions, it is firmly planned to use a UniFi Lite 16 PoE)

I spoke with the responsible electrician whether it would be possible to install one with Schuko sockets instead of the 3-Euro-socket part. He either can't or, in my feeling, does not want to do this conversion. The electrician's suggestion was to rewire the cable, so instead of Schuko use a Euro plug with PE connected to N. I didn't find that very appealing and probably slightly illegal.
So I will solve the problem myself or have access to a master electrician who will carry it out.

My further research has shown that the installed module internally does have sockets with protective contact and also the possibility to connect neutral conductor/PE there, see photos. However, a kind of cap from PinFix is plugged onto these sockets, which limits the sockets to Euro plugs. You absolutely cannot remove it. What would be your recommendation to solve the problem?

I also found the module STECKD3K. At first glance, it looks exactly like the installed one, only with Schuko sockets. According to the manufacturer, however, this is intended for other cabinet series, so I am not sure if it would fit. Can someone answer that for me?
The manufacturer f-tronic is basically not very helpful. I did not receive any response to an inquiry about this. Their documentation and product datasheets are not helpful.

Many thanks in advance and greetings to the admin (BB codes).

If there is no space problem, I would simply plug in a multiple socket. Is there perhaps another cover with Schuko sockets from the manufacturer? You have already asked. That would be the easiest solution.

Unfortunately, that is exactly not possible, as there are no multiple sockets with Schuko sockets but Euro plugs, or they are not allowed to exist. The protective earth contact cannot just appear out of nowhere. I asked the manufacturer, exactly. However, that was two weeks ago, so probably nothing will come anymore. Their documentation is more embarrassing than helpful. Installed is this one from f-tronic: Article number 7290113 There is also this one, but as described above, I find no information whether it would also fit, since it is only listed as compatible for other cabinet series: Article number 7110308 (Sorry, links are not allowed in this backward part of the internet -.-) Maybe someone here installs the stuff from f-tronic and knows about it?

... and the power strip then doesn't have a Schuko plug? Other manufacturers have what you’re looking for. Socket insert media distributor. But are they compatible?

I would simply hardwire another power strip and remove the current one. When moving out, reinstall it.

Yes. I want to know which one or if the one I mentioned above is compatible. I have now also inquired with various suppliers; maybe they know more than the manufacturer.
