Hello,
Does anyone have experience with plastic fiber concrete, e.g., in the foundations? There is a concrete from ADFIL called "Durus Easy Finish". This is supposed to be usable. But the internet provides little information and even well-known masons mostly work with conventional woven steel cages in strip foundations.
Best regards

My stone mantra also applies here: take the option your builder has the most experience with. Don’t be a guinea pig. No matter what you might read about it: in practice, it has to be done, and reliably maintained.

Hello,

few companies still have experience with fiber-reinforced concretes. They are very complex in processing and mixture composition (distribution and position of the fibers within the concrete matrix). Therefore, fiber-reinforced concretes, unlike conventional concretes, are classified into so-called performance classes from which the load-bearing capacity can be derived.

Fiber-reinforced concretes can already be useful for components mainly subjected to compression, but on the condition that the processor is very familiar with them. As my predecessor already wrote, I would not want to be the guinea pig there either. In my opinion, the classic way of reinforcing and concreting a foundation is still the optimal method. I also cannot imagine that you save money with fiber-reinforced concrete.

In consultation with your structural engineer, it would definitely be conceivable for foundations. There is usually not much cost savings. You save on the installation of the reinforcement, but the concrete is more expensive... maybe a little time savings.

So reinforcement including installation will cost something around 1200€ per ton. There won't be too much quantity in there anyway.

The time savings are then the duration of the tying. I don't know your house, but for a strip foundation of a house I would estimate 3 days. I think that gets lost over the construction period.
Besides, then you have the problem whether the company you hire can reliably produce it. If not, you have the problem that two different companies do the foundation (one company the foundation and one company the slab). I wouldn't want to deal with this interface. That is a warranty issue.

But that is very generous.
For us, 1 day to excavate, install the reinforcement cages, and the concrete came in the evening...
