Hello,
since googling around didn’t make me any wiser or less confused than before: Which plaster would you use for plastering the reveal and the windowsill on the inside? Concrete plaster? Or something else?
Problem: I will soon be replacing the windows in the neighboring house (converted barn). These are old wooden windows that were plastered with concrete plaster (?) on brick masonry. Since I will lower the windowsill (inside) by at least 7 cm (chipping away a row of bricks), I assume this will not happen without damage. Either I remove the plaster completely or, since I don’t want to replaster the lintel inside, I will just repair it where damage occurs. Also, I will probably have to straighten the removed sill somewhat before gluing the new sill on.
