Hello community,
in our planning, the topic of the garage has now also come up.
It is supposed to be built as a basement garage in the house.
Now, both some general contractors and plasterers have estimated prices ranging from well over 1000.- to about 2000.- for the interior plaster of the garage.
I have also read that the garage could be clad and filled with gypsum board panels in EL. (We want to do dry construction anyway in EL). That would probably bring us material costs of under 500.-.
The question now is whether the panels could be damaged in the unheated garage.
On the one hand, I am aware that it gets quite cool there in winter and that rain and snow also bring more moisture into the garage, on the other hand, it is a basement garage that probably never cools below 10 degrees. Also, it might be possible to use the green impregnated panels? The whole thing doesn’t have to win a beauty prize, but I would like to lay the electrical installation flush-mounted, otherwise I might not even plaster the wall.
Many thanks for your opinion or even expert advice. Maybe someone has even already done something like this.
