There are rumors due to the subsidies Meanwhile, due to the imposed regulations and requirements, one has to consider cooling in our latitudes in addition to heating and ventilation. Because it gets very, very warm in summer in the dense plastic bags called: KfW-XYZ house. Yes, the 2-3 degrees less are always a topic, because more simply isn’t possible. But it usually stays at 2-3 degrees. However, 2-3 degrees less at 20°C outside feels significantly different indoors than 2-3 degrees at 30°C outside. So you always have to keep that in mind. And as long as you live in the house and actually live inside and are not constantly only outside or on vacation, the 2-3 degrees less are only conditionally achievable for a short time. The heat comes in despite all passive measures. Not only the sun, even cooking or baking alone can heat the house up quite well. Admittedly, you only have the highest temperatures on selected days, at most weeks. The costs depend heavily on the heating contractor. You also repeatedly read in the forum that people spend four-figure sums for these measures. But that is pointless. For that, you might as well go for active cooling right away.

Thank you for your critical view on the cooling issue. I will keep that in mind and then simply weigh up the costs and benefits. Besides the higher initial costs, cooling also logically leads to increased operating costs.

However, an air conditioning system would not be suitable for people over 40.

We have allocated a budget of 40,000 EUR for the heating and ventilation technology including underfloor heating mentioned in the first post. Is that too much? Is that rather too little?

The preparations are. And who prevents you from retrofitting the air conditioning after the construction is completed?

40k is very tight, I don't think that's enough. Definitely not for Sole. Otherwise, I can only recommend installing a wood stove, that radiant heat is so cool.

Depends on the heating system. A brine-water heat pump with deep drilling costs quite a bit. Controlled residential ventilation would probably be around 12-15k€. Cooling for both would be on top. It could be tight.

Smart

Sorry, my mistake.
The 40k is the budget for a split air-water heat pump. If it should be a brine-water heat pump, the drilling is added on top of the budget – so then about 49k to 52k.
