Hello everyone,

attached is the floor plan of the master bathroom.

Access is deliberately only through the dressing room, which is located to the left of the bathroom.
Because of the children's bathroom, the master bathroom in the bottom left is practically unusable. The bathtub is currently planned as a corner tub (this is not yet apparent from the plan).

My problem now is the following: I would like a walk-in shower without a door because we will be living in an area with hard water and are lazy about cleaning. The wall between the toilet and shower would have to be 1.40 m long in my opinion, to avoid too much water splashing. But then it gets tight with the bathtub.
In my opinion, the bathroom is too small for a T or L solution.

Would it be wiser to keep the wall between the toilet and shower at a length of 1.20 m and to install a glass door on the shower after all?

Do you have any ideas or suggestions for designing the bathroom differently? Or is this already the most sensible solution?

Best regards.

Just quickly .. I would move the access to the bathroom, because now the niche at the bottom is basically 2.5 sqm of wasted space.

And then something like this:

Shower at the bottom in the niche, washbasin on the left side of the plan, bathtub top right and toilet possibly at an angle ... would have to be precisely coordinated with the bathtub dimensions.

...Or put the bathtub in the resulting niche It then relaxes many things.

Many thanks!

The bathtub at the bottom of the niche seems a bit tight with a width of 1.70. We would prefer a 1.9 m tub because we are both tall.
If the shower goes into the niche:
What about water splashing out there? If the entrance to the shower should be at least 70 cm, the wall would only be 1 m long.

This bathroom has been giving me a headache for quite some time.
Originally, where the children's bathroom is now, a sauna was planned. But now it should rather be outside. By relocating the children's bathroom there, the children's rooms have become larger.

Would it perhaps also be a viable option to make the children's bathroom somewhat more elongated instead of square and thus be able to arrange the parents' bathroom differently?

However, the water still stays in the shower area, which is 170 cm wide. With the 120x120 cm option, the water might possibly go beyond the intended shower area and is practically more in the room.

By the way, I consider the children's bathroom uncomfortably small .

How does it continue to the right in the plan?

I have attached the entire upper floor plan. On the left, you can access the roof terrace from the bedroom. It is also accessible from the children's rooms as well as through the hallway, so guests do not have to walk through one of the rooms to get to the roof terrace. We basically want to keep it that way. The staircase on the right side of the plan is to remain there because of the overall setup with the ground floor. So there is very little room for fundamental changes to the bathrooms. The children's bathroom is quite small, I agree with you. However, there are no children yet, although planned.
