Photo wallpaper on the toilet back wall

we would like to put up a photo wallpaper on the back wall of the toilet. Normally, there are tiles there. Should the wallpaper then be treated with some kind of varnish so that it is washable? If yes, what should be used for that?

I wouldn't. However, photo wallpapers or wallpapers with a motif should be wipeable. What could really happen there? Do you want to install them all the way to the floor or only from the height of the pre-wall installation?

The false ceiling installation goes up to the ceiling, so without a shelf. The wallpaper should therefore go from floor to ceiling. No idea what’s going on there – urine splashes?! I’ve never had to clean that off the wall before, but why else are there tiles behind the toilets?

There is now the option to use glass instead of tiles. Just install a transparent glass wall precisely behind the toilet. And behind it is your photo canvas. This is then protected from all kinds of moisture exposure by the glass.

Glass would of course be an option, but naturally also more expensive and not something we could install ourselves. It would of course be an option if it is even needed at all. Is there something like a sealant for the wallpaper? There are washable paints, but if at all, we would need something clear.
