Hello, unfortunately I can't give a recommendation but I strongly advise against a cherry laurel. We had one planted by the gardener with the note: "It is evergreen, grows fast and dense!" Yeah, right – it really grows beautifully until winter and in winter it dries out every time. Then we have to cut it back again and again every year. By now it is 50 cm high and has been like that for 4 years. So please stay away from cherry laurel.
