You can basically take any pendant light that is not hanging directly on the cable, otherwise the cable would be kinked. They either have a wire on which the "lampshade" hangs, or (the more "traditional" models) a chain. The person in the lamp shop said as long as there is no tension on the cable, you can choose freely. However, it shouldn’t be a rod either, as it wouldn’t hang vertically and would probably look a bit strange... :-) We have both a modern chandelier with a chain and a lamp with a hanging wire, and I even have an extremely light fixture hanging on the cable. It wasn’t expensive, let’s see how long it lasts... ;-)
