I have a question regarding the Pello or Poäng chair from Ikea. They are actually intended for the living room area, but I am considering getting one for "comfortable" working at the desk as well. Has anyone had experience with it or is it possible to sit upright comfortably in it?

Hello,

both are generally super comfortable armchairs. However, in my opinion, they are not suitable for working at a desk.

On the one hand, the seat is too deep and on the other hand, angled backward, so you would have to slide all the way forward and sit on the edge in order to be able to sit at the table.

Thank you Nayla, I had similar concerns. But for the living room or as a guest chair, you can definitely use them great.

For normal "reading" of a good book, I would also prefer an armchair. But for working, staying focused and being effective, definitely a chair. The posture is more upright, you stay more alert and from my experience, the work also goes faster. Best regards
