A quick question about a Faktum kitchen. ABSTRAKT fronts in high gloss white.

I need to install a matching strip between 2 base cabinets.

The question that arises for me is: What should I cut this from? From a normal high gloss front? Wouldn’t it possibly splinter when cutting with a jigsaw?

P.S. We still have fronts, so material itself is not a problem. ;)

Hi Urbisan, of course you can cut this [Passleiste] from a front. When cutting, make a marking line with a pencil on the visible side (so the front). Then you cut the [Passleiste] from the back along the line. It does require a bit of skill and a new, fine saw blade. I always have such things cut at my trusted hardware store (the one with the beaver). Afterwards, I iron on an edge band and then it fits. Then I screw the strip through the side of the cabinet. However, you should pre-drill the screws in the [Passleiste] so that it doesn’t split when you screw it in tightly. Regards, Herr Rossi
