Hello

I want to paint our cabinet doors. They are ugly brown laminated. The plastic is glued, not stretched, and it is porous.

Do I have to prime and fill the cabinet doors or just fill and paint?
Which primer or filler material and which paint base (acrylic/synthetic paint) should I use?

Thank you very much for your help!

I wouldn't paint if the edges are already porous anyway. I would cover or stretch them with fabric or foil.

Thank you for your response. The edges are not porous, but the glued foil. Attached is another picture

I wouldn't invest anything more in [den Fuchs].

Now, this is a standardized built-in wardrobe with three double doors across the entire width of the room. I definitely don't want to miss that. The doors are simply not exactly top-notch.

Then take the doors off, off with them to the car wrap specialist, and put nice new foil on them. You probably have something like that where you are, too. It's not too expensive. A door is easy for them to wrap. My brother just had a whole ship wrapped, 1900 gross. So the doors shouldn’t cost much more than 200.
